It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This maintains balance of electrolytes (like potassium), lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

How to use Amilochlor Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Amilochlor Tablet works Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is a combination of two diuretics: Amiloride and Hydrochlorothiazide.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
If a dose of Amilochlor 5mg/50mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
