In Treatment of Bacterial infections : Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as meningitis (infection of the brain), pneumonia (infection of the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility) and infections of ear, abdomen, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints. Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is also sometimes given before certain types of surgery to prevent infections that may develop after the operation.

How to use Acuzone Plus Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Acuzone Plus Tablet works Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
There is limited information available on the use of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Doctor consultation is advised.
Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Dose adjustment of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If a dose of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
