Dapagliflozin and Gliclazide are used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

How it Works

How Dapagliflozin and Gliclazide Work Dapagliflozin and Gliclazide is a combination of two antidiabetic medications. Dapagliflozin lowers blood sugar by prompting the kidneys to excrete more glucose in the urine. Gliclazide enhances the amount of insulin produced by the pancreas. Insulin reduces blood sugar by assisting cells in using and storing glucose.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Dapagliflozin and Gliclazide include hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level), nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages), urinary tract infection, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, and constipation.

  • Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medication.
