In Prevention of Polio Polio is a life-threatening disease caused by the poliovirus. It can spread from person to person and can infect the brain and spinal cord causing paralysis (unable to move body parts). Poliovac Vaccine gives protection against poliovirus. It works by helping the immune system to produce antibodies to fight against the virus. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.
