In Prevention of Rabies Rabies is a serious disease caused by the rabies virus transmitted through the saliva of infected animals. Berirab P Injection is used along with the rabies vaccine to prevent infection caused by the rabies virus. It works by giving your body the antibodies it needs to protect it against the rabies virus. This medicine is administered only once in a lifetime and should be used only in individuals who have never received the rabies vaccine before. It is to be administered only by or under the supervision of your doctor. You should not self administer this medicine.
