You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are bloating and abdominal distension. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Lifestyle modifications like reducing smoking, increasing exercise and a healthy diet will help you to get better results. Consult a doctor before taking this medicine if you have a sudden change in bowel functions that persists for ten days and if you suffer from nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain. Discontinue Isabgoli Tablet if your constipation lasts seven days or more and you experience rectal bleeding these may be a sign of a serious medical condition.
