How to use
How to use Zoldex Spas Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zoldex Spas Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How it works
How Zoldex Spas Tablet works Zoldex Spas Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Dextropropoxyphene and Paracetamol. Dicyclomine is an anti-cholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine) and stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Dextropropoxyphene is a opioid analgesic (pain reliever). It works by decreasing the perception of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Zoldex Spas Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Information regarding the use of Zoldex Spas Tablet during pregnancy is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.
Zoldex Spas Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.Even small doses of Zoldex Spas Tablet can cause infant sleepiness and decreased/altered brain function.
It is not known whether Zoldex Spas Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Zoldex Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zoldex Spas Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Zoldex Spas Tablet is not recommended in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Zoldex Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zoldex Spas Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Zoldex Spas Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Zoldex Spas Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
