['Vomiting, Upset stomach, Delayed ejaculation, Sedation, Weight gain, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Urinary retention, Dizziness, Increased prolactin level in blood, Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm), Low sexual desire, Muscle stiffness, Restlessness, Tremors']

Directions for Use

Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xe Fexor-Duo Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

How it works

Xe Fexor-Duo Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Flupenthixol and Escitalopram Oxalate which have anxiety-lowering and mood-elevating effects. Flupenthixol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Escitalopram Oxalate is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood.

Xe Fexor-Duo Tablet is used for the treatment of schizophrenia. It is better to take it at night as this medicine may produce drowsiness or sleepiness. Try to keep your regular appointments with your doctor. This is so your doctor can check on your progress. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have experienced fits (convulsions) either recently or in the past. Inform your doctor if you have severe heart, liver, Parkinsons' disease, or diabetes before starting your treatment. Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Xe Fexor-Duo Tablet can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when you are outdoors.
