In Treatment of Softening of earwax : Waxmap Drop is a liquid solution which helps to soften, disperse and sometimes dissolve ear wax. Although ear wax drops can be an effective, self-sufficient treatment for ear wax, they are more often used before some other form of treatment for ear wax such as ear syringing or ear irrigation. This medicine is absorbed by ear wax, aiding in thinning and softening it in the process. It also lubricates the inner layers of the skin lining the ear canal, enabling its movement towards the entrance of the ear canal. This helps in getting rid of the earwax without pain and discomfort.
How to use Waxmap Drop Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Waxmap Drop can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Waxmap Drop works Waxmap Drop is a combination of four medicines: Benzocaine, Chlorbutol, Paradichlorobenzene and Turpentine Oil. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain. Chlorbutol is a preservative. Paradichlorobenzene is an ear wax softener which dissolves the ear wax while exerting antibacterial and antifungal actions. Turpentine Oil is a lubricant.
