In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Visken 10mg Tablet blocks the effect of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down the heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force thereby lowering your blood pressure. This also reduces your risk of having a stroke, heart attack, or other heart and kidney problems in the future. In Prevention of Angina (heart-related chest pain) Visken 10mg Tablet makes sure that your heart is getting a good supply of oxygen. Thus, making it less likely that you will suffer from heart-related chest pain (angina). This medicine thus helps to increase your ability to exercise and go about your daily life more easily and confidently.
Side Effects
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
How to use
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Visken 10mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How it works
Visken 10mg Tablet is a beta blocker which lowers blood pressure. It works by slowing heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow to organs.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Visken 10mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Visken 10mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Visken 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Visken 10mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Visken 10mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Visken 10mg Tablet is recommended. However, use of Visken 10mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with serious kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable for dose adjustment.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Visken 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Visken 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Visken 10mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
