Tuxiril LS Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of dry cough. It relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling (in eyes, nose, throat), and congestion in the nose. It also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. Tuxiril LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, upset stomach, vomiting, bloating, headache, rash, and sweating. How it works

Tuxiril LS Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Guaifenesin, bromhexine, chlorpheniramine and dextromethorphan which relieve dry cough. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.
