How Tramfort D Gel works Tramfort D Gel is a combination of five medicines: Tramadol, Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Linseed Oil and Menthol. Tramadol is an opoid analgesic (pain reliever). It works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Diclofenac and Methyl Salicylate are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil is a plant-based oil which further reduces swelling and improves blood circulation. Additionally, it increases the penetration of Diclofenac through the skin. Menthol produces a cooling effect on the skin.
