How to use Thiocetamol Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Thiocetamol Tablet works Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Paracetamol and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relax the muscles. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve the muscle stiffness or spasm.
Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy
Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Information regarding the use of Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.
Driving
It is not known whether Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Liver
Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If a dose of Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
You have been prescribed Thiocetamol 325mg/4mg Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm. It is usually used along with rest and physical therapy. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
