How it works
How Tespen P Tablet works Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain. Tapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet, then do not drive.
Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Tespen P 50mg/325mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
