In Pain relief Ostigard 100 Capsule gives relief from pain in inflammatory conditions that affect muscles and joints such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and back pain. Ostigard 100 Capsule if taken at the start of symptoms of joint pain might prevent further damage of joints. It also helps manage toothache, or pain in the ear and throat. It works by blocking the action of certain chemicals that causes pain and swelling. By reducing pain, it improves the quality of your life.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Ostigard 100 Capsule is a combination of two medicines: celecoxib and diacerein which relieve pain. Celecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Diacerein is a proteoglycan synthesis stimulator which also blocks the chemicals that cause inflammation and pain and helps in the building of cartilage (soft tissue around the joints) in the body.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Ostigard 100 Capsule as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Ostigard 100 Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Ostigard 100 Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Ostigard 100 Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Ostigard 100 Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ostigard 100 Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Not Safe: Ostigard 100 Capsule is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Ostigard 100 Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Ostigard 100 Capsule helps relieve pain and inflammation in various conditions. You may find that your pain is eased within a few days of taking Ostigard 100 Capsule. If it still persists even after two weeks, consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
