Hypertension (high blood pressure)

In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Nubeta SM Tablet is a combination medicine that contains two active ingredients, S-Amlodipine and Nebivolol. Both of the medicines in this combination work to lower blood pressure but in different ways. Together they help to relax blood vessels, reduce heart rate and make it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This lowers blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should also make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Nausea, Edema (swelling), Constipation, Fatigue, Dizziness, Diarrhea, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation)']

Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nubeta SM Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

Nubeta SM Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Nebivolol and s-amlodipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Nebivolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate while s-amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Nubeta SM Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nubeta SM Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nubeta SM Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Nubeta SM Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. As patients taking Nubeta SM Tablet may suffer from dizziness, headache, fatigue or nausea the ability to react may be impaired and this may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Nubeta SM Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nubeta SM Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Nubeta SM Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nubeta SM Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Nubeta SM Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Nubeta SM Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.
