This helps the glucose get into your cells so your body can use it for energy. It begins to lower your blood glucose level within 10-20 minutes of injecting it and the effect can last for 3-5 hours. You will need to learn exactly how, where, and when to inject this medicine for it to be most effective. Lowering blood glucose levels helps reduce the risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life.

Novorapid Flex Pen is fast-acting insulin. It starts working within 10-20 minutes after injection. It works like your body's natural insulin. Insulin facilitates reuptake of glucose in muscles and fat cells and also blocks the release of glucose from the liver.
Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Novorapid Flex Pen as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Novorapid Flex Pen is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breast feeding
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Novorapid Flex Pen is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving
Caution Advised: Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney

If a dose of Novorapid Flex Pen is missed, there's a risk of elevated blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Monitor your blood sugar and adjust the timing of the next dose accordingly.
Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8�C). Do not freeze.
Novorapid Flex Pen helps to control blood sugar levels and avoid long-term complications. Take�it 15 minutes before a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) is a common side effect. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly.� Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremors, weakness, and anxiety. Injection below the skin of the abdomen results in faster absorption than other injection sites. Injection sites must be rotated to prevent hard lumps from developing at one site. Opened vials/cartridges�stay good at room temperature for up to 4 weeks, while unopened vials must be placed in the refrigerator (2�C�8�C). Do not use it if the preparation is no longer clear and colorless or if it contains particles.
