In Treatment of Bacterial infections Monarquin Plus Tablet is an antibiotic medicine prescribed to treat various infections caused by bacteria such as sinus infections (sinusitis), chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, and infections of the ears, skin, throat, stomach, and urinary tract. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Dizziness, Stomach pain, Nausea, Flatulence, Diarrhea']

Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Monarquin Plus Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

Monarquin Plus Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Moxifloxacin and Cefixime. Moxifloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Monarquin Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Monarquin Plus Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Monarquin Plus Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Monarquin Plus Tablet may make you feel dizzy or light-headed, you may experience a sudden, transient loss of vision, or you may faint for a short period. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Monarquin Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Monarquin Plus Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Monarquin Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Monarquin Plus Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Monarquin Plus Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Monarquin Plus Tablet to cure your infection and improve your symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools. Discontinue Monarquin Plus Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
