It helps in relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain or irritation and indigestion. It also promotes the movement of food in the stomach to prevent nausea or vomiting. Metadrate Suspension is taken without food, following the dosage and duration recommended by your doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are diarrhea, taste change, weakness, restlessness, and tremor. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time.
