You have been prescribed Melodol Tablet to relieve pain and inflammation. It works more quickly if you take them when your stomach is empty, so ideally they should be taken about 30 minutes before food. However, if taking the tablets makes you feel sick, it is better to take your doses after food as this will help reduce any feelings of sickness. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Melodol Tablet. Drink plenty of water while taking it. Inform your doctor if you have or ever had ulcers in your stomach or intestines. Inform your doctor if you are planning to have an operation (even a minor one, such as tooth extraction) since Melodol Tablet might increase the risk of bleeding.
