How Maxitax Injection works Maxitax 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefotaxime and Sulbactam. Cefotaxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefotaxime against bacteria.
Caution: It is important to consult your doctor regarding alcohol consumption while taking Maxitax 1000 mg/500 mg Injection .
Maxitax 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Maxitax 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Maxitax 1000 mg/500 mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
