Lomofen Tablet helps to treat diarrhea that is caused due to bacteria or parasitic worm infections. This medicine can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lomofen Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Lomofen Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, diphenoxylate and furazolidone, which treats diarrhea. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which blocks the action of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger), thereby relaxing the muscles of stomach and intestines. Diphenoxylate is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria and other diarrhea-causing microorganisms by damaging their DNA.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Lomofen Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
