In Early Breast cancer Kadcyla 160mg Injection helps to treat initial stages of breast cancer and it may be used alone or in combination with other medicines or treatment modalities like chemotherapy. It relieves the symptoms of breast cancer such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from nipples or changes in the shape or texture of the breast. Kadcyla 160mg Injection kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. Discuss with your doctor if any of the side effects bother you. In Metastatic breast cancer Kadcyla 160mg Injection helps to treat breast cancer and it may be used alone or in combination with other medicines or treatment modalities like chemotherapy. This medicine is used when other medicines have not shown significant improvement and the cancer has spread to other parts as well. It relieves the symptoms of breast cancer such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from nipples or changes in the shape or texture of the breast. Kadcyla 160mg Injection kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. Discuss with your doctor if any of the side effects bother you.

Kadcyla 160mg Injection is an anti-cancer medicine. It binds to HER2 receptors on breast cancer cells and flags the cancer cells for destruction by the body's immune system. It also goes into the cancer cells to release a chemotherapy medicine (emtansine) and stop them from growing and dividing.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Kadcyla 160mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Not Safe: Kadcyla 160mg Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

SAFE - Kadcyla 160mg Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Liver

Caution Advised: Kadcyla 160mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Kadcyla 160mg Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8�C). Do not freeze.

Kadcyla 160mg Injection is given via a drip into a vein (intravenous infusion) under the supervision of a doctor. Do not skip any dose and complete the course as suggested by your doctor. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain. Women who could get pregnant should use a reliable method of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking this medicine. Regular monitoring of heart function (tests like echocardiogram) and blood tests to monitor the level of blood cells may be advised before starting treatment and regularly during treatment with Kadcyla 160mg Injection.
