How to use Ismotag Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ismotag 5mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
How it works
How Ismotag Tablet works Ismotag 5mg Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Ismotag 5mg Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Ismotag 5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Ismotag 5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Ismotag 5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Ismotag 5mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Ismotag 5mg Tablet is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease.
Ismotag 5mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ismotag 5mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Ismotag 5mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
