Gutrex Plus Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Pantoprazole, Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which in turn relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium is an anticholinergic medication. It works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Alcohol

Pregnancy

You have been prescribed Gutrex Plus Capsule for the treatment of pain and other discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome. Do not take Gutrex Plus Capsule at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines. Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine. Keep sipping water or have sugar-free gum in order to relieve dryness in the mouth. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
