It is effective in relieving pain caused by headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period (menstrual) pains, arthritis and muscle aches.To obtain the maximum benefit, follow the prescribed instructions precisely. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time.In Treatment of Fever Gephen-MF Oral Suspension is also used to reduce a high temperature (fever). How can I give Gephen-MF Oral Suspension to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Gephen-MF Oral Suspension can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Gephen-MF Oral Suspension works Gephen-MF Oral Suspension contains Mefenamic acid and paracetamol as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Gephen-MF Oral Suspension works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain, and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Gephen-MF Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gephen-MF Oral Suspension may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Gephen-MF Oral Suspension is not recommended in children with severe kidney disease.
Gephen-MF Oral Suspension is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Gephen-MF Oral Suspension is recommended.Regular monitoring of the liver by getting liver function tests (LFT) is recommended if your child is taking Gephen-MF Oral Suspension for a long time.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
