How it works
Gemita 1400mg/87.5mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Gemcitabine and Mannitol. Gemcitabine interferes with the growth of DNA and RNA of the cancer cells by substituting their building blocks. It prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying. Mannitol is an inert substance with high osmotic pressure. It draws water into the kidney, which in turn increases the amount of urine production. Mannitol is also used to lower the pressure inside the eye or swelling around the brain.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Gemita 1400mg/87.5mg Injection as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Gemita 1400mg/87.5mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
