In Treatment of Malaria : Malaria is a serious or life-threatening illness that is spread by a parasite that enters the human body by the bite of infected mosquitoes. Falnate-Kit is an antimalarial medicine and is used to treat malaria. It kills the infection-causing parasite and stops the further spread of the infection in the body. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.
Side effects of Falnate Tablet The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. How to use Falnate Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Falnate-Kit is to be taken with food.
How Falnate Tablet works Falnate-Kit is a combination of three medicines: Artesunate, Sulphadoxine and Pyrimethamine which treat malaria. Artesunate and Pyrimethamine are antiparasitic medicines which work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.
Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Falnate-Kit . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.
Falnate-Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Falnate-Kit is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Falnate-Kit may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Falnate-Kit should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Falnate-Kit may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Falnate-Kit is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
