How to use
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Espin-LT Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How it works
Espin-LT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Losartan and Amlodipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Espin-LT Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Espin-LT Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Espin-LT Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Espin-LT Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Espin-LT Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Espin-LT Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Espin-LT Tablet is recommended.
Caution Advised: Espin-LT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Espin-LT Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Espin-LT Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Espin-LT Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
