In Treatment of Malaria Malaria is a serious or life-threatening illness that is spread by a parasite that enters the human body by the bite of infected mosquitoes. Endomal SP Tablet is an antimalarial medicine and is used to treat malaria. It kills the infection-causing parasite and stops the further spread of the infection in the body. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Endomal SP Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Artesunate, Sulphadoxine and Pyrimethamine which treat malaria. Artesunate and Pyrimethamine are antiparasitic medicines which work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.

Alcohol

Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Endomal SP Tablet . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Endomal SP Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Endomal SP Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Endomal SP Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Endomal SP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Endomal SP Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Endomal SP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Endomal SP Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Endomal SP Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Endomal SP Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of malaria. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how the medicine affects you. Endomal SP Tablet should be taken with food or drinks enriched with fat such as milk. Inform your doctor if you have anemia. Inform your doctor if you notice flu-like symptoms such as chills, fever, muscle pains, and any changes in a heartbeat. You may be asked for a regular blood test once a week while taking this medicine.
