It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed.

How Cevfix Clav Tablet works Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.
Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.
Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
It is not known whether Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cevfix Clav 200mg/125mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
