Buflex Mr Tablet 10s is a combination medicine used to treat painful muscle spasms and acute musculoskeletal conditions. It contains chlorzoxazone, a muscle relaxant; ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID); and paracetamol (acetaminophen), an analgesic and antipyretic. This medicine works by relaxing muscles, reducing inflammation and swelling, and relieving pain.
Buflex Mr Tablet 10s is indicated for the relief of discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions where both muscle spasm and inflammation are present.
This combination provides a multi-pronged approach to pain management:
Because this medication targets the central nervous system, the brain, and the local site of injury simultaneously, it provides more comprehensive relief than single-agent therapies. It is intended only for short-term use during the acute phase of pain.
This combination medicine is used to treat:
While most people tolerate this combination well, side effects can occur. Most are mild and will naturally go away as the body adjusts.
Take Buflex Mr Tablet 10s exactly as outlined by your healthcare provider. It is usually prescribed to be taken two or three times a day, depending on the severity of your acute symptoms. To safeguard your stomach lining, always take this medication immediately after a full meal or with a large glass of milk. Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets—swallow them whole with a full glass of water. Never extend the duration of this treatment beyond what your doctor recommended.
Do not consume alcohol. Mixing alcohol with ibuprofen elevates the risk of stomach bleeding, and mixing it with paracetamol significantly heightens the risk of acute liver failure.
Avoid use unless strictly necessary. It should not be used in the third trimester as ibuprofen can cause severe complications for the baby and delivery.
Small amounts of these medications can enter breast milk. Professional medical guidance is required to determine safety for your baby.
The muscle relaxant component frequently causes severe drowsiness or dizziness. Do not operate vehicles or heavy machinery until you know how the drug affects your alertness.
Use with caution. Because it contains paracetamol, patients with a history of liver dysfunction require careful dose limits to avoid toxicity.
Ibuprofen can reduce blood flow to the kidneys. Patients with existing kidney issues require careful monitoring.
Always take with food or milk. Maintain good fluid intake and follow recommended rest or physical therapy protocols to ensure smooth healing.
Keep the tablets at room temperature, away from excess heat and direct moisture. Do not store in the bathroom cabinet. Keep all medication securely out of the reach of children and pets.
Your specific daily dosage is determined by your physician based on your age, overall health, and the intensity of your pain. Do not take more tablets than instructed, and do not shorten the time intervals between doses.
In the event of a suspected overdose, contact emergency medical services or a poison control center immediately. Early symptoms can include intense nausea, severe stomach pain, profound drowsiness, or a cold, clammy feeling.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if your next scheduled dose is only a few hours away, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Never take two doses at the exact same time to catch up.
