Akudin T 5 1 5mg Eye Drop 5ml is a prescription combination eye drop used to lower high pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It contains two active ingredients: Brimonidine, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, and Timolol, a beta-blocker. These two medications work together to provide better pressure control than either medication used alone.
Akudin T 5 1 5mg Eye Drop 5ml is a prescription eye drop used to lower high pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure). It is commonly prescribed for people with open‑angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, conditions that can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss if not treated.
The medicine contains two active ingredients. Brimonidine is an alpha‑2 adrenergic agonist that reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humor) produced in the eye and also helps increase fluid drainage. Timolol is a beta‑blocker that works mainly by decreasing fluid production. By combining these two actions, the drops provide stronger pressure control than either medicine used alone.
Lowering eye pressure is important because it helps protect the optic nerve and preserve vision. Akudin T 5 1 5mg Eye Drop 5ml does not cure glaucoma, but it helps manage the condition and reduce the risk of further damage. Patients are usually advised to use the drops regularly, at the same time each day, to keep eye pressure stable.
This medicine should be used exactly as directed by your doctor. It is applied directly into the eye, and care should be taken to avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Regular follow‑up appointments are important so your doctor can monitor eye pressure and adjust treatment if needed.

Always consult your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms while taking Akudin T 5 1 5mg Eye Drop 5ml.
Brimonidine is a selective alpha-2 adrenoceptor agonist. It reduces aqueous humor production and enhances uveoscleral outflow (the drainage of fluid). Timolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. It lowers intraocular pressure by decreasing the secretion of aqueous humor by the ciliary body. The combined effect results in a more significant reduction in eye pressure than either drug provides individually.
Do not use if you are allergic to brimonidine, timolol, or other beta‑blockers/alpha‑agonists. Seek medical help if you develop a rash, swelling, or breathing problems.
Timolol can pass into breast milk and may affect infants. Use only under medical advice.
Use only if your doctor decides the benefits outweigh the risks. Limited safety data in pregnancy.
Brimonidine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Avoid driving until you know how the drops affect you.
Alcohol may increase tiredness, dizziness, or drowsiness caused by brimonidine.
No specific data available. Use with caution and under medical supervision if you have liver disease.
No specific data available. Use with caution and under medical supervision if you have kidney disease.
Safety and effectiveness are not fully established in very young children. Use only under specialist advice.
Older adults may be more sensitive to possible systemic side effects such as slow heart rate or low blood pressure.
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not use extra drops to make up for a missed dose.
