Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet also gives relief from muscle and back pain as well as toothache and menstrual pain. Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is also used to reduce pain after surgery. It blocks chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain sensation. By reducing pain, it improves the quality of your life.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain. Tapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Not Safe: Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet, then do not drive.
Caution Advised: Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Caution Advised: Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, the use of Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If a dose of Acutap P 50 mg/325 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
