How it Works
How Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone work Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone is a combination of two medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria and treating your infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone include eye discomfort, corneal deposits, ocular hyperemia, taste changes, ear discomfort, and ear pain.

- Ciprofloxacin + Dexamethasone is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections and inflammation of the eye.
- Do not skip any doses; complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping early may result in the infection returning and becoming harder to treat.
- Avoid touching the tip of the bottle to any surface to prevent contamination.
- Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication to prevent dilution.
- Short-term blurring of vision may occur upon initial use. Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
- Refrain from wearing contact lenses until the infection has completely resolved.
- Do not use more frequently or for a longer duration than prescribed by your doctor.
- Inform your doctor if your condition has not improved after seven days of treatment.
- Ensure to use the medication within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
