The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria that cause skin infections. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. The antifungal prevents the growth of fungi on the skin by inhibiting their ability to form protective coverings. Together, these components effectively treat skin infections.
