In Treatment of Bacterial infections Taxim-AZ 100 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. These may include middle ear infections, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, skin and soft infections, abdominal infections, and urinary tract infections. This medicine works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping them from multiplying. As a result, the infection starts clearing within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. However, continue giving the medicine as prescribed by the doctor because stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child?s condition or bring back the infection. In Treatment of Typhoid fever Typhoid fever is an infection that spreads through the intake of contaminated food and water. Children with typhoid fever requiring no serious medical attention can be well managed with Taxim-AZ 100 Tablet at home because of its excellent activity against organisms causing typhoid fever.

How can I give Taxim-AZ 100 Tablet to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Taxim-AZ 100 Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Taxim-AZ 100 Tablet contains two antibiotics, cefixime, and azithromycin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while Azithromycin interferes with the protein synthesis of bacteria. As a result, the growth of infection-causing bacteria gets controlled and the spread of the infection is successfully restricted.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
