In Treatment of Bacterial infections Vitaferol Sachet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as meningitis (infection of the brain), pneumonia (infection of the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility) and infections of ear, abdomen, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints. Vitaferol Sachet is also sometimes given before certain types of surgery to prevent infections that may develop after the operation.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Increased liver enzymes, Allergic reaction, Rash']

Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Vitaferol Sachet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

Vitaferol Sachet is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

Alcohol

Safe: No harmful side effects are associated with consuming alcohol alongside Vitaferol Sachet

Pregnancy

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Vitaferol Sachet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

Caution Advised: Vitaferol Sachet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving

Not Safe: Vitaferol Sachet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Seek medical advice from your doctor: There is limited information available on the use of Vitaferol Sachet in patients with kidney disease. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Vitaferol Sachet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vitaferol Sachet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Dose adjustment of Vitaferol Sachet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

If a dose of Vitaferol Sachet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed this combination medicine to treat bacterial infections even if they have developed resistance.� Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Vitaferol Sachet may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps. Stop taking Vitaferol Sachet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
