Dry cough

Oxidyne P Syrup suppresses severe dry cough and gives you relief from an itchy throat. Along with taking Oxidyne P Syrup, gargling with warm salt water and having ginger or honey can help you manage dry cough.

Oxidyne P Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Bromhexine, dextromethorphan, phenylephrine and menthol which relieve dry cough. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Oxidyne P Syrup as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Driving

Liver

Not Safe: Oxidyne P Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Oxidyne P Syrup is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Oxidyne P Syrup is prescribed to get relief from a dry cough. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage. Inform your docotor if you have or have ever had a breathing problem such as asthma, emphysema, or chronic bronchitis. Consult your doctor if you do not see any improvement and have cough for more than 7 days. _
