Mycodot Z Kit helps treat tuberculosis by stopping the growth of bacteria causing infection. Your symptoms might improve after using Mycodot Z Kit. However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label before use. Mycodot Z Kit is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Mycodot Z Kit with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Mycodot Z Kit is a combination of four medicines: Pyrazinamide, isoniazid, rifampicin and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) which treat tuberculosis (TB). Pyrazinamide works by slowing the growth of TB bacteria. Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering, while rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by these bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is added to prevent nerve damage which may be a side effect of isoniazid.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Mycodot Z Kit , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Mycodot Z Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Mycodot Z Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Mycodot Z Kit may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. You may feel dizzy or faint, have problems with vision or have other side effects that could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Mycodot Z Kit is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Mycodot Z Kit may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Mycodot Z Kit is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Mycodot Z Kit may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Mycodot Z Kit is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Mycodot Z Kit must be taken on an empty stomach at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Discontinue Mycodot Z Kit and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you.
