Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label before use. Mycodot Kit is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Mycodot Kit with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
How it works
Mycodot Kit is a combination of four medicines: Pyrazinamide, isoniazid, rifampicin and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) which treat tuberculosis (TB). Pyrazinamide works by slowing the growth of TB bacteria. Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering, while rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by these bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is added to prevent nerve damage which may be a side effect of isoniazid.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Mycodot Kit , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Mycodot Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Mycodot Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Mycodot Kit may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. You may feel dizzy or faint, have problems with vision or have other side effects that could affect your ability to drive.

What if I forget to take it?
