How to use Libtra Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Libtra Tablet works Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Mefenamic acid and Tizanidine which relieve abdominal pain. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant which works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve the muscle stiffness or spasm.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet is not advised in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function tests are recommended before the start of treatment and then on a regular basis as advised.
If a dose of Libtra 250mg/500mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
