Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection is an antibiotic which is used to treat different types of bacterial infections. Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection works by stopping the growth of the bacteria. It is effective for bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, urinary tract, ear and stomach. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and difficult to treat.

How Ivtrim Injection works Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection is a combination of two antibiotics: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. These antibiotics work by preventing the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection as it is deemed unsafe.
Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby.
It is not known whether Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Ivtrim 400mg/80mg Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
