In Cancer Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection is a combination of two medicines Ifomaside and Mesna. It is used to treat various cancers such as testicular cancer, bladder cancer, lung cancer, cancer of the ovaries (cancer that begins in the female reproductive organs where eggs are formed), cancer of the cervix, and cancer that forms in muscles and bones. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Mesna present in Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection reduces the risk of inflammation and bleeding of the bladder which is a very serious side effect of treatment with Ifosfamide. Drink at least 1-2 litres of water every 24 hours during the treatment process to stay hydrated.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Mesna and Ifosfamide. Mesna is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication. Ifosfamide is a cytoprotective medicine which is added to reduce the risk of bleeding and swelling in the bladder caused by Mesna.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Not Safe: Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection is used for the treatment of various types of cancer. Before taking Holoxan Uromitexan 200mg/1gm Injection, make sure you tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking (including prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins, herbal remedies, etc.). After starting your treatment with this medicine, you may be at risk of infection so try to avoid crowds or people with colds, and report fever or any other signs of infection immediately to your doctor. Drink at least two to three quarts of fluid every 24 hours, unless you are instructed otherwise. To reduce nausea, take anti-nausea medications as prescribed by your doctor, and eat small, frequent meals.
