In Treatment of Bacterial infections Glacef-O Tablet used to treat certain bacterial infections such as sinus infections (sinusitis), chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), and infections of the ears, skin, throat, stomach, urinary tract, and prostate gland. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria. Glacef-O Tablet also restores the level of good bacteria in your stomach and thus prevents stomach upset due to the antibiotics. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glacef-O Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Glacef-O Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Cefixime, Ofloxacin, and Lactobacillus. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively. Lactobacillus is a live micro-organism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.
