How to use Gesfen Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gesfen Tablet is to be taken with food.
How it works
How Gesfen Tablet works Gesfen Tablet is a combination of two pain relievers (Ibuprofen, Paracetamol) and a stimulant (Caffeine). The pain relievers work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). The presence of Caffeine increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol / Acetaminophen.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Gesfen Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Gesfen Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Gesfen Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Gesfen Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Gesfen Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gesfen Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Gesfen Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Long term use of this medicine can affect the kidney function.
Gesfen Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Gesfen Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Gesfen Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Gesfen Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
