How it works

Evaspey Injection is an antioxidant. It has nootropic (enrichment of nerves) and neuroprotective properties. It works by slowing the nerve damage caused by harmful chemicals (free radicals). This delays the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) symptoms by reducing the oxidative stress (an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants) in the brain.Evaspey Injection is an antioxidant. Frequently asked questions

Yes, both medicines have the same salt composition, dosage, and effectiveness. They work the same way in your body. The only difference is the brand — and Edanox option is much more affordable without compromising on quality
There is no definitive evidence that ALS can be prevented, but awareness of risk factors such as smoking, pesticide exposure, and military service may help reduce the risk.
Caucasians and non-Hispanics are more likely to develop ALS, with symptoms typically appearing between ages 55 and 75. It is slightly more common in men, but the gender difference diminishes with age. Military veterans may be 1.5 to 2 times more likely to develop ALS due to toxin exposure.
Early symptoms of ALS include muscle twitches, cramps, stiffness, weakness in limbs, slurred speech, and difficulty chewing or swallowing. Symptoms often first appear in the hands or arms, affecting simple tasks, or in the legs, causing awkwardness while walking.
Evaspey Injection is given as an intravenous injection over 60 minutes by a healthcare professional. Initially, it is administered daily for the first 14 days of a 28-day cycle, then daily for the first 10 days of subsequent cycles, with frequency determined by your doctor based on your response.
Exposure to toxins during military service and strenuous physical activity may increase the risk of ALS in veterans and athletes.
Common side effects of Evaspey Injection include confusion, headache, and difficulty walking. Uncommon side effects may include skin allergies, breathing difficulties, chest tightness, wheezing, coughing (especially in asthma patients), and fungal infections.
Evaspey Injection is used to treat ALS by slowing nerve damage and the progression of symptoms, but it does not cure the condition.
Notify your doctor if you are allergic to edaravone or any ingredients in Evaspey Injection. Also, inform them of any other medications or supplements you are taking, and if you have asthma, are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you become pregnant while on edaravone.
