How to use Equirest Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Equirest Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
How it works
How Equirest Tablet works Equirest Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) which in turn relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Equirest Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Equirest Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Equirest Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Equirest Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.As Equirest Tablet may make you feel drowsy or affect your concentration and this may affect your ability to drive.
