Dpazox Tablet 10s is a fixed-dose combination medication formulated to provide relief from acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. It integrates the muscle-relaxing properties of Chlorzoxazone with the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Diclofenac and Paracetamol. This triple-action formula is specifically designed to break the cycle of pain and muscle spasms, reducing stiffness and improving physical mobility. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, muscle strains, sprains, and sports-related injuries to facilitate faster recovery and restoration of movement.

Dpazox Tablet 10s is prescribed for managing conditions where skeletal muscle spasms and inflammatory pain occur together. By combining three active ingredients with distinct yet complementary mechanisms, it addresses musculoskeletal distress at multiple levels.

Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that works primarily at the level of the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain to inhibit multi-synaptic reflex arcs responsible for causing and maintaining muscle spasms. Diclofenac Sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins (the chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation at the site of tissue injury). Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) further enhances the analgesic effect by acting on the central nervous system to increase the pain threshold and reduce fever.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablet.
• Timing: Always take this medication after food or with milk to protect the stomach lining.
• Hydration: Maintain adequate fluid intake throughout the day to support kidney function while taking NSAIDs.

• Shortest Duration: Use the medicine for the shortest time needed to relieve symptoms to minimise side effects.

• Stomach Care: If you experience stomach pain, stop the medication and consult your doctor.

• Check Other Meds: Always check if other over-the-counter flu or pain medicines contain Paracetamol to prevent toxicity.

• Store Dpazox Tablet 10s in its original packaging at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C (68°F to 77°F).

• Keep the medicine away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.

• Always keep the tablets out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Alcohol: Potentiates the risk of liver toxicity and gastrointestinal ulcers.
• Caffeine: May increase the absorption of Paracetamol but could also increase the risk of stomach irritation.

• Blood Thinners: (e.g., Warfarin) Increases the risk of internal bleeding.

• Other NSAIDs: (e.g., Ibuprofen, Naproxen) Increases the risk of stomach and kidney side effects.

• Diuretics: Diclofenac may reduce the effectiveness of water pills and increase kidney strain.

• Anticonvulsants: Certain seizure medications may increase the risk of liver toxicity when taken with Paracetamol.

• Peptic Ulcer Disease: Use is contraindicated or requires extreme caution due to the risk of GI perforation or bleeding.

• Asthma: Some patients may experience NSAID-sensitive asthma (bronchospasm).

• Heart Failure: Diclofenac may cause fluid retention and should be used cautiously in cardiovascular patients.

The standard adult dosage is typically one tablet taken twice or three times a day, depending on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's response. It is essential to take Dpazox Tablet 10s immediately after a meal to reduce the risk of gastric irritation. The duration of therapy should be kept as short as possible to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

An overdose of this combination can lead to severe complications. High doses of Paracetamol can cause acute liver failure, while Diclofenac overdose can lead to kidney failure or GI bleeding. Chlorzoxazone toxicity may result in severe CNS depression and respiratory distress. If an overdose is suspected, contact emergency medical services or a poison control centre immediately.

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
