In Treatment of Bacterial infections Doxy : Red-LB Tablet is a versatile antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the blood, brain, lungs, bones, joints, urinary tract, stomach and intestines. It can also be used to treat sexually transmitted diseases. It stops the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and clears the infection. It also helps treat as well as prevent diarrhea that may occur due to the use of this medicine or due to stomach/gut(intestine) infections. Take it for as long as prescribed by the doctor and avoid skipping doses. This will make sure that all bacteria are killed and they do not become resistant.

Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Doxy Red-LB Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Doxy Red-LB Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Doxy Red-LB Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Not Safe: Doxy Red-LB Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Visual disturbances such as blurring of vision may occur during treatment with doxycycline.
Kidney
Seek medical advice from your doctor: There is limited information available on the use of Doxy Red-LB Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Doctor consultation is advised.
Liver
Caution Advised: Doxy Red-LB Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Doxy
If a dose of Doxy Red-LB Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
Your doctor has prescribed Doxy Red-LB Tablet to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Take it with food and plenty of fluids to avoid an upset stomach and acid reflux. Take it while you are sitting or standing, to prevent any throat irritation. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Discontinue the medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
